企业实践的三个层次
诺锐商业发展学会在持续追踪中发现，亚太地区企业的ESG实践大致可分为三个层次：
- 合规层：满足监管机构和交易所的基本披露要求，这是大多数企业目前所处的阶段。
- 整合层：将ESG因素系统性地融入企业战略和运营决策，在风险管理、供应链管理、人力资源等方面全面考虑ESG维度。这一层次的企业数量正在快速增长。
- 创新层：以ESG为驱动力进行商业模式创新，开发绿色产品和服务，创造新的商业价值。这代表了ESG实践的最高水平，目前主要由行业领先企业引领。
挑战与机遇并存
尽管ESG在亚太地区的发展势头强劲，但也面临诸多挑战。标准不统一、数据质量参差不齐、专业人才短缺、中小企业参与度低等问题仍然突出。特别是对于广大中小企业而言，如何在有限的资源条件下有效开展ESG实践，是一个亟待解决的现实问题。
学会认为，ESG的深入发展将为亚太地区带来巨大的商业机遇。绿色金融、碳交易市场、清洁技术、可持续消费等领域蕴含着丰富的增长潜力。企业应将ESG视为提升长期竞争力的战略投入，而非简单的合规成本。那些能够率先实现ESG与商业价值深度融合的企业，将在未来的市场竞争中赢得显著优势。

ESG wave sweeps Asia Pacific
Environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) has grown from a fringe topic to a core agenda in the global business community. In the Asia-Pacific region, this trend has been particularly significant in the past two years. Whether it is regulatory policies, capital markets or corporate practices, it has shown an accelerated trend.
From a regulatory perspective, major economies in the Asia-Pacific have introduced or improved ESG-related disclosure requirements and standard frameworks. The Hong Kong Stock Exchange, the Singapore Exchange, and the Tokyo Stock Exchange in Japan have all strengthened the mandatory requirements for ESG information disclosure by listed companies. Mainland China is also accelerating the establishment of a unified sustainable development information disclosure standard system and promoting the transition from voluntary disclosure to mandatory ESG disclosure.
Three levels of corporate practice
Novaris Business Development Society has found in continuous tracking that the ESG practices of companies in the Asia-Pacific region can be roughly divided into three levels:
- Compliance layer:Meeting basic disclosure requirements from regulators and exchanges is the stage most businesses are currently in.
- Integration layer:Systematically integrate ESG factors into corporate strategies and operational decisions, and comprehensively consider ESG dimensions in risk management, supply chain management, human resources and other aspects. The number of companies at this level is growing rapidly.
- Innovation layer:Use ESG as the driving force to innovate business models, develop green products and services, and create new business value. This represents the highest level of ESG practice and is currently led mainly by industry leading companies.
Challenges and opportunities coexist
Although ESG is gaining momentum in the Asia-Pacific region, it also faces many challenges. Problems such as inconsistent standards, uneven data quality, shortage of professional talents, and low participation of small and medium-sized enterprises are still prominent. Especially for the vast number of small and medium-sized enterprises, how to effectively carry out ESG practices under limited resource conditions is a practical problem that needs to be solved urgently.
The Institute believes that the in-depth development of ESG will bring huge business opportunities to the Asia-Pacific region. Green finance, carbon trading markets, clean technology, sustainable consumption and other fields contain rich growth potential. Enterprises should regard ESG as a strategic investment to enhance long-term competitiveness, rather than as a simple compliance cost. Those companies that can take the lead in realizing the deep integration of ESG and business value will gain significant advantages in future market competition.
